ABOUT
About the Author: Stan and Allen
Huxley Ren Bunn wrote and illustrated Stan and Allen: A Book About Gender. Huxley identifies as non-binary and uses he/him and they/them pronouns. He has faced challenges coming out to people who are unfamiliar with what being non-binary means. Wanting to help others in similar situations, Huxley set out to create a simple, non-threatening way to explain non-binary identity to people of any age.
Stan and Allen marks Huxley’s debut in the world of children's books. He drew inspiration from some of his favorite titles, including Frankenstein Makes a Sandwich and The Spider and the Fly.
Huxley hopes to help empower and educate others through art.

"There isn't one speech or one story, one moment or one person that can bend the arc of history on their own. But if we start with something, work together, and stay ambitious, hope stops being a thing we wait to feel and becomes something we create." - Malala Yousafzai
That's what art is to me.
A way to create hope.
A way to create kindness.
A way forward through anything which seems immovable.
